Soccer Season is passed and it was a good one. The weather in October and September was somewhat cooperative. I say that but I was the one at home with the girls while Gunner and Joe braved all the games.
Joe was the assistant coach of Gunner's team this year. It was a new team and lots of the kids had played little or no soccer. Gunner hasn't played the last couple years and I said he had to try it one more time before he gave it up. He loved playing forward and would have asked to be there all the time but after the first game it turned out there was a really big need for someone to be the Goalie. I'm not sure why, perhaps because someday he could be very tall, but Gunner ended up with the job which he hated because of the
pressure but loved because he was just so dang good at it. And in the very last game of the season, since they were already up by one, he got to play the coveted forward position for a couple of minutes and even kicked in a goal! Good season Gunner and Joe.

Tell Gunner that next year when he scores a goal he should take off his shirt and run around screaming, "G-g-g-g-gooooooooal!"
