Harry Potter Day

With the New Year came a change in Church times. We now meet from 9-12 and while we love it, we have a lot more sabbath to keep "Holy." The game Life was fun for a while, as were other gems like Pop Up Pirate and Uno but we needed a little something more. We recently did a Harry Potter day. The kids got to do some custom whittling and decorate their own wands.
We also have a Harry Potter Cook Book and tried a few of the recipes. Below is the plate of Cornish Pasties, Bangers and Mash smothered in Molly Weasly's onion gravy and Butter Beans accompanied by a frothy glass of Pumpkin Juice. It was all delicious and artery clogging making us all wonder how the Brits survive past 40.

Not pictured are the bombs of the day, Hagrid's Rock cakes lived up to their names and his equally bland Custard Sponge Cake will not be tried again. Regardless, a good day was had by all.
